Le Figaro Madame « Wedding Scenes on the water »

By Claire Mabrut

This year is the year of the « green wedding »

Initially held at Hotel George V., this exhibition dedicated to your D-Day has decided to install its decorations on the decks and in the cabins of the Yachts of Paris. Something to assure those allergic to trade shows and who aren’t always looking for something chic on the topic. Put on by 1001 Listes for over five years, the “Backstage Weddings” is an exhibit like none other. Intimate, it hosts 50 some exposures carefully chosen and only stays open for a few hours. This year, it’s on the docks Thursday, November 5 from noon until 11pm. On the docks? Future brides and grooms embark on a white cruise on the Yachts of Paris or stay on the docks between the Mirabeau and Grenelle bridges, in order to meet dress designers, caterers, photographers, printmakers and other specialty providers such as Piaget and Yves Saint Laurent Beauty. The theme for this year: Nature, directed by Cendrine Dominguez. Whether a romantic wedding or a hippy wedding with an organic buffet; whether an outdoor setting full of transparency or one covered by wood or floral materials, a classy green ambiance takes on a new sense, elegant yet something that won’t let you down. The final bonus: Backstage Weddings are also held outside of Paris.
